The Fort Collins Pipe Band is competing again! Today we had our very first competition in almost two years. The event was the 14th Annual Colorado Irish Festival, held in Clement Park in Littleton over the entire weekend. The pipe band competition was Sunday afternoon, split into two separate events: the Timed Medley and the Quick March Medley. We participated only in the Quick March Medley. It was the very first competition ever for 5 of our 13 participants, and the drum line is comprised completely of new members. Although we placed 4th overall, we gained 3rd in Ensemble which was very pleasing. Now that we've "broken the ice", we can really start building competition strength!
